In 2011, Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce gave support to numerous worthy causes both inside and outside its industry with charitable contributions. The WFFC held two clothing drives during the January Business Meeting and Fall Seminar for the Bottomless Closet. In addition, the WFFC made a monetary donation to support the group’s efforts in providing interview skills, business clothing, and ongoing career development for the economically disadvantaged women in New York City. Other significant contributions were made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Red Cross and the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network.

In September, the WFFC held its Open Dinner, which was attended by over 600 people to honor Mary M.G. Riddle, Vice President, The Coca-Cola Company. A portion of the proceeds went to the Averett University Autism Education Initiatives, the charity of Riddle’s choice.

“The WFFC stands firm in its commitment to support women, within as well as outside our industry. We seek to give back to the community by contributing to charities, which provide various types of assistance, both in the U.S. and around the globe,” says WFFC President Joanne Kennedy.
